UNILORIN Opens Inter-University Transfer Applications for 2026/2027 Academic Session

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has officially commenced applications for Inter-University Transfer into the institution for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

The announcement, issued by the Directorate of Academic Support Services (Senate), invites suitably qualified students from other recognized universities to apply for transfer into the University, subject to the institution's admission requirements and available spaces.

Applicants must satisfy the admission requirements that were applicable to their year of admission into their current institution. In addition, candidates are required to possess a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.00, although admission will also depend on the requirements of the programme being applied for.

To be eligible, applicants must also demonstrate good conduct and, upon successful admission, must be able to spend a minimum of two academic sessions at the University of Ilorin before graduation.

As part of the application process, candidates are required to upload the following documents:

• O' Level result(s)
• A' Level result(s), where applicable
• JAMB Result Slip
• O' Level Result Checker PIN
• Letter of Recommendation from their current institution

Furthermore, applicants are expected to ensure that their official academic transcripts are forwarded directly to the Registrar, University of Ilorin, as part of the evaluation process.

The University also advised prospective applicants to have a valid and active email address as well as a functional mobile phone number before commencing the registration process.

Interested candidates are to complete their applications online through the University of Ilorin  website after payment of a non-refundable application fee of ₦30,000.

The application portal will remain open until Monday, 31st August, 2026.

Important Notice

The University strongly advised applicants to carefully review all information supplied before final submission. It warned that any false declaration, omission, or error in the application may lead to automatic disqualification, stressing that the institution will not be held responsible for incorrect entries made by applicants.

Prospective candidates are therefore encouraged to ensure that all submitted information and supporting documents are accurate and complete before submitting their applications.
