Markaz University College has aofficially released iis minimum tolerable UTME Scores required for screening in the 2024/2025 admission cycle.

The official cut off mark for UTME students 180 as decided by the University Of Ilorin 

Important Notice To 2024 UTME/DE Applicants 

• Graduates of Markaz Diploma Programme who have obtained their certificate and have O Level result with at least credit in Arabic or Islamic Studies in addition to English and other two subjects can obtain Direct Entry Form from Jamb and choose Markaz from next year. This will facilitate their Admission into 200L from next year.

• All candidates who have chosen Markaz in the 2024 UTME and scored up to 180 are to upload their O Level result in readiness for admission.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MARKAZ UNIVERSITY COLLEGE PROGRAMME

1. Official Registered Name: Arabic & Islamic Training Centre.

2. Markaz University College was officially established on January 4, 2024 by Sheikh Muhammed Habib El-Ilory on behalf of his father Sheikh Adam Abdullah El-Ilory.

3. Resource Verification for the school was held in December 2023 after when an approval was sent to commence the Programme.

4. Official Recognition by JAMB was in January 2024.

5. The school is located at Markaz premises Agege, Lagos.

6. The school started with two programmes: B.A Arabic and B.A Islamic Studies (4 years) under the Faculty of Arts.

7. Admission is strictly by JAMB into 100L or Direct Entry into 200L. Direct Entry to start in 2025.

8. All candidates must possess O Level result with at least 5 credits in English and other four art subjects which must include Arabic or Islamic Studies. This is applicable to Direct Entry candidates as well.

9. Graduates of Markaz Diploma programme or any other registered Diploma from recognized tertiary institution will be admitted into 200L from 2025 through Direct Entry and presentation of O Level result with required grades.

10. Markaz is affiliated to University of Ilorin being the Parent Institution with a record of outstanding excellence.

11. All graduates will be mobilized for NYSC so long as they are within the age limits.

12. The certificate obtained qualifies our graduates for masters programme in other universities as we only run undergraduate programmes for now.

13. Markaz is aimed at expanding in the nearest future in capacity and programmes.

14. Markaz is equipped with facilities such as ICT Centre, Regular Library, e-Library, Modern Clinic, Indoor Sports, Seminar Rooms, Language Laboratory and so on.

15. Markaz is opened to everyone irrespective of tribe and background.

16. School fees is very friendly and affordable (N170,000) excluding acceptance fee.

17. Scholarship Scheme: Markaz has launched scholarship scheme to support qualified students in financing their education. Selection will be by merit.

18. Candidates were able to choose Markaz as their Choice Institution successfully without any difficulty in the just concluded UTME 2024.

19. Names of all candidates who chose Markaz in the just concluded UTME 2024 together with their scores have been sent to Markaz through CAPS and qualified candidates will be given admission.

20. First Admission into Markaz for Undergraduate Programme will commence soon after which the first Maiden Matriculation for the new undergraduate students will be done.
