For The First Time In History, Lagos State University,LASU Alumni Make SAN List For A Single Year







Three graduates of the Faculty of Law of Lagos State University have made the list of Senior Advocate of Nigeria recently published by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee (LPPC). 


They are Boonyamen Babajide Lawal, Olasupo Ati-John, and Oluwolemi Esan. 


The three (3) are among the 87 new silks elevated to the rank of SAN in 2024 by the LPPC the sole body that appoints lawyers to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria while preserving the integrity of the legal profession. 


According to the statement that announced their appointment, the swearing-in ceremony of the three, alongside the other 84 silks, will take place on Monday, the 30th day of September 2024.


The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) rank is usually conferred on legal practitioners in Nigeria who have practised with excellence for at least ten years. 


The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, joins the Dean, Faculty of Law, Prof. Kareem Olatoye to congratulate the new silks on their elevation. She wishes them well as they begin the new phase of their career.
