Federal University Dutse (FUDutse) Secures MDCN Accreditation For Faculty Of Clinical Sciences
The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria(MDCN) has commenced the accreditation of the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, the Federal University Dutse
The Team Leader and the Deputy Registrar of MDCN ,Dr . N.U.Nwakanma said the accreditation team which comprises eminent medical practitioners across the medical profession in Nigeria are Dutse to check the facilities and access the contents of the program in the university.
He said MDCN takes the training of Medical Doctors seriously and that's why Nigerian Doctors are respected both locally and internationally.
The Deputy Registrar said Nigerian Doctors are rigorously trained as general medical practitioners before becoming Specialist in any field of their choice adding that MDCN ensures that the basic minimum benchmark is strictly adhered to in any university.
Dr. Nwankanma said the young university has a lot of potentials based on the testimonies he heared but the Medical school must maintain the standard of Ahmadu Bello University ,Zaria, Usman Danfodio University,Bayero University among others.
He thanked the Vice-Chancellor,Prof.Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed for the warm reception since their arrival.
In his remark the VC thanked the team for coming for the accreditation at this point in time adding that the university has been eagerly waiting for their arrival
He said the university has done its best in terms of preparation for the accreditation but they are willing to learn and take advice at the end of the accreditation process.
The VC told the MDCN team that he can attest to the competence of Nigerian Doctors because he knew some of them while he was abroad adding that the university is ready to produce good Doctors that will make the nation proud
