The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) is the first petroleum university in Africa and sixth in the world. The Institution is located at Ugbomro, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State. We offer highly sought-after courses that adequately equip graduates to provide services to the Oil & gas and allied sectors.

We invite application from qualified candidates for admission into the FUPRE School of Sub degree Programmes. We offer pre-degree (basic) and foundation (JUPEB) programmes.

PREDEGREE/BASIC PROGRAMME

The basic Programme shall run for one Academic Session beginning from September 2024 to August, 2025. It is an intensive programme to prepare candidates for admission through JAMB into the 100-level degree programmes offered by the University.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

(a) Five (5) Ordinary Level Credit Pass in relevant subjects, to include English Language. Awaiting result is also considered.

(b) Students who meet the admission requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination.

(c) Successful candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Twenty Five Thousand Naira only (N25,000.00).

(d) On admission, if any student voluntarily withdraws from the Programme, request for refund of school fee will NOT be entertained.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

ONLINE PAYMENT

Applicants are required to make the payment of ten Thousand Naira only (N10,000.00). only, non-refundable fee via https://subdegree.fupre.edu.ng

FOUNDATION/JUPEB PROGRAMME

The Programme shall run for one Academic Session beginning from September 2024 to August 2025. It is an intensive programme to prepare candidates for admission into the 200-level degree programme offered by the University, other JUPEB affiliated Universities, and International Universities

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

(a) Five (5) Ordinary Level Credit Pass in relevant subjects, to include English Language. Awaiting result is NOT allowed

(b) Students who meet the admission requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination.

(c) Successful candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Fifty Thousand Naira only (N50,000.00).

CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION TO 200 LEVEL:

The course allocated will be determined by the level of performance.

Students will sit for JUPEB Examination at the end of the course and will be able to transit to 200 Level into any of the JUPEB Affiliated Universities both in Nigeria and Abroad.

(a) Successful candidates that will be enrolled in the degree programmes at the 200 level must purchase the Direct Entry JAMB form.

(b) On admission, if any student voluntarily withdraws from the Programme, request for refund of school fee will NOT be entertained.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Applicants are required to make the payment of Fifteen Thousand Naira only (N15,000.00). only, non-refundable fee via https://subdegree.fupre.edu.ng

CLOSING DATE

The closing date for the application form is Thursday 12th September, 2024.

DATE FOR THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:

A entrance examination for admission into the Programme will hold on Friday, 13th September 2024 by 9:00 am at the FUPRE ICT building.

COMMENCEMENT OF LECTURE:

LECTURES START IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE ADMISSION EXERCISE.

7 Environmental Management and Toxicology

Five ‘O’ level credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. A pass in Physics and a credit pass Geography or Agricultural Science is allowed.

9 Statistics

Five ‘O’ level credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other Science subjects from Further Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology or Agricultural Science.
