NABTEB RELEASES NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2023 NBC/NTC AND ANBC/ANTC EXAMINATIONS RESULTS.

We are pleased to inform all candidates who participated in the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) Nov/Dec 2023 exams that the results have been released. The Registrar/CEO of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has announced the release of the results of the Nov/Dec 2023 in-school National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations.

HTE National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), on Monday announced the release of results of its recently concluded 2023 Ordinary level/Craft Certificate examinations and the Advanced-level/Mastercraft certificate examinations for private candidates where it recorded 71.27 percent five credit including Mathematics and English performance.

The Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), Prof. (Mrs.) Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe disclosed this to newsmen at the Board’s National Headquarters, in Benin City, Edo State.

She said the examination was conducted nationwide for the award of the National Business Certificate (NBC)/National Technical Certificate (NTC), Advanced National Business Certificate (ANBC)/Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC) from Monday 6 November to Saturday 9 December 2023.

According to her, out of 39,478 candidates that sat for the NBC/NTC examinations, 28,137 obtained five (5) credits and above including English Language and Mathematics representing 71.27 % whereas, 37,476 candidates scored five (5) credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics representing 94.93 %.

“Analyses of candidates’ enrolment for the examinations indicate that total enrolment was 43,594 candidates, consisting of 26,004 males and 17,590 females who registered for the examinations in 1,746 centres.

Further analyses indicate that candidates enrolled for 14 Engineering Trades, 7 Construction Trades, 8 Miscellaneous Trades, 4 Business Trades and 21 General Education subjects at the Craft Level. At the Master Craft level, candidates enrolled for 13 Engineering Trades, 7 Construction Trades, 7 Miscellaneous Trades, 4 Business Trades and 4 General Education subjects, totalling 89 Trades and subjects at both Ordinary and Advanced Levels.

“Enrolment figures and performance of candidates in the examinations further indicate that a  a total of 43,502 candidates sat for the examinations, representing 99.79 % of the total enrolment. Out of 34,954 candidates who sat for various Trades at the Crafts level, 14,389 candidates, representing 41.17 %, were certified as Craftsmen.

“This is lower than the 2022 performance where 62.71 % were certified as Craftsmen.

At the Advanced level, out of 3829 candidates that sat for various Trades at the Master Crafts level, 2,099 candidates, representing 54.82 %, were certified as Master Craftsmen. This also is an improvement over the 2022 performance where 48.63 %, certified at Master Crafts level. “She said.
