Kwara State University (KWASU) Announces Resumption of 2025/2026 Academic Session at Ilesha-Baruba Campus
The Kwara State University, Malete, the green University for Entrepreneurship and community development was established in 2008, by an Act of Law, and commenced operations in 2009.
The University, by the Law establishing it, is to operate a multi-campus system in Malete, Osi and Ilesha-Baruba.
While the Malete Campus has been operational since the commencement of the University in the 2008/2009 academic session, the KWASU Osi Campus commenced academic activities in 2024/2025 academic session, hosting the Faculty of Environmental Sciences.
The Management is pleased to inform the University Community and parents that the Ilesha-Baruba Campus is ready to host the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.
Academic activities will commence at the campus this 2025/2026 academic session with the resumption of staff and students of the Departments of Crop Production, Animal Production, and Fisheries and Aqua-Culture. Lectures will commence on the Ilesha-Baruba Campus on Monday 3rd of November 2025.
While the University Management is working towards a hitch-free resumption in the Ilesha-Baruba campus, staff and students as well as other stakeholders are implored to provide the necessary support.
