Kebbi State Government Approves Registration Fees Payment for Indigenes in UDUS

The Kebbi State government under the executive Governor Nasir Idrees Kauran Gwandu has approved the payment of registration fees of 2,282 indigenous students of Kebbi State who are studying at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS).

It was contained in the information shared by Yahaya Sarki, the Special Adviser (SA) to the Governor on Media and Publicity on Friday, July 12, 2024.

Part of the press release reads, “The statement further explained that the sum of , N258,893,920, (Two Hundred and Fifty Eight Million, eight hundred and ninety three thousand, Nine Hundred and Twenty Naira) was approved for payment of registration fees of 2,828, (Two Thousand , Eight Hundred and Twenty Eight) Students of Kebbi State origin, studying in Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto for 2023/2024 academic session.”

It added, “The Ministry for Higher Education under the Hon. Commissioner, Isah Abubakar Tunga expresses immense appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris for his gigantic efforts in promoting Higher Education and ensuring academic excellence in our tertiary institutions in Kebbi State.”
