 ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY (ABSU) COMMENCES CHANGE OF DEGREE PROGRAMMES FOR THE 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to notify all interested Regular Students of Abia State University, that the process for change of Degree programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session, has Commenced.

Interested Students, their Parents and Guardians should note the following guidelines:

1. Apply to the Vice-Chancellor, through your current Dean and Head of Department;

2. You must have spent at least one (1) academic session in Abia State University and must possess the minimum entry requirements for the Degree programme being applied for;

3. You must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of not less than 3.00, First Semester and Second Semester examinations combined;

4. Duly qualified Students, as stated in 1-3 above, should present their credentials for screening at the Admissions Office, Office of the Registrar and thereafter, collect payment slips for payment of the prescribed fee at the designated banks;

5. Show evidence of payment of the prescribed fee, collect and complete the indemnity form at the Admissions Office, Office of the Registrar;

6. Change of Degree programmes are exercised only once during a student's undergraduate programme;

7. Available programmes include: Law, Medicine & Surgery, Nursing Science, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Optometry, among others;

8. Transfer Students are to be considered, as appropriate.

Please note, that successful Students must collect letters of approval for change Of Degree programmes to the prospective Deans and Heads of Departments, otherwise the change of Degree programme will not be valid.
