FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (SPECIAL), OYO (FCES OYO) MATRICULATES 1,310 STUDENTS DURING THE 47TH MATRICULATION CEREMONY

The Provost, Federal College of Education Special, Oyo, Dr. Ademola Rauf Salami says Education without discipline is incomplete. Dr. Rauf Salami said this during the 47th matriculation ceremony of the College held for the 2023/2024 academic session on Thursday 8th February at Oba Adeyemi Hall.
A total of 1,310 students were matriculated for the various schools.
The Deputy Provost, Dr. B.A. Adebiyi speaking for the Provost warned the students against antisocial activities like cultism, examination misconduct, public fighting, use of vulgar languages, drug abuse, cohabitation, peddling of false information. He also advised the students to be law abiding particularly on laws guiding studentship. “Also as Teachers in training, you’re expected to dress according to acceptable norms and avoid undue exposure of body parts as this will be critically viewed and severely sanctioned.
The Provost used the opportunity to inform the students of his studentship in the College. Hear him, “it may interest you to know that I once matriculated in this College like you several years back. This therefore tells you that we are joint owners of the College and we must collaborate to ensure that it is operated for great success”.
Highpoints were administration of matriculation oath by the Registrar, Mr. Joseph Araoye, oath against cultism by the legal officer of the College, Barrister Badmus Tunde. Also the Sub-dean Student Affairs, Dr. R.Y. Balogun took the students through the code of conduct.
Also present were the College Librarian, Mrs. A.O. Imam, College Bursar represented by Deputy Bursar, Mr. Sunday Adegbite, Academic board members, Directors, Deans, Heads of Department, School officers, Parents and guardians.
